Indsamling fra Smukfest i Skanderborg har gavnet pigeskole i Ghor‑provinsen

Rebuild Aid Forening fik i forlængelse af Smukfest i Skanderborg adgang til festivalområdet efter afslutningen af arrangementet. Her havde seks frivillige fra foreningen mulighed for at gennemføre en målrettet indsamling af brugbart udstyr, som ellers ville være gået til spilde.

I forbindelse med indsamlingen blev der samlet 85 stole, 11 telte samt madrasser, soveposer og andet udstyr, som efter sortering og klargøring blev doneret til humanitære formål i Afghanistan. Særligt stolene har vist sig at gøre en konkret og værdifuld forskel.

Stolene er blevet doneret til en pigeskole i Taiwara‑distriktet i Ghor‑provinsen, hvor adgangen til basale undervisningsfaciliteter fortsat er yderst begrænset. Efter skolestart i forbindelse med det afghanske nytår er stolene nu taget i brug af eleverne.

Skolen råder i øjeblikket ikke over en permanent skolebygning, og undervisningen foregår midlertidigt under meget enkle forhold. For at sikre, at pigerne kan deltage i undervisningen, medbringer eleverne selv deres stole hjemmefra og tager dem med til skolen hver dag. Donationen af stole har derfor haft stor betydning og har gjort hverdagen mere værdig og funktionel for både elever og undervisere.

Denne indsats er et tydeligt eksempel på, hvordan genbrugte ressourcer i Danmark kan skabe konkret og meningsfuld forandring i nogle af Afghanistans mest udsatte lokalsamfund. Rebuild Aid Forening takker Smukfest, de frivillige og alle samarbejdspartnere, der bidrog til at gøre denne indsamling mulig.
